The Role of Colon Hydrotherapy in This Protocol
Colon hydrotherapy’s role here is elimination support, not eradication. Herbal formulas mobilize and target what they’re intended to affect, and the body then needs to clear that material through normal elimination. When elimination is sluggish, cleared material can sit in the colon longer than it should, which is often where symptoms like bloating, fatigue, and skin flare-ups during a cleanse come from. Colon hydrotherapy helps keep that clearance moving during the phases where it matters most.
We don’t claim that colonics remove parasites directly, and we’re skeptical of marketing that does. What we’ve observed, consistently, across clients who combine colon hydrotherapy with a well-sequenced botanical protocol, is meaningful improvement in digestive comfort, bowel regularity, skin symptoms, mental clarity, cravings, and energy. Those are real, reported outcomes. They don’t prove parasites caused every symptom or that colonics eliminated an infection, and we’re not going to tell you otherwise.
Products We Use
Product selection in this protocol is individualized, not a single standardized parasite cleanse kit. Depending on your history and response, we may draw from:
- The HoloBiome Roadmap’s Prepare and Purify-phase formulas, including BindGenic and DetoxiGenic for binding and elimination support
- Systemic Formulas VRM1 through VRM4, selected individually rather than combined automatically
- ImmuneG.I., which combines black walnut, wormwood, clove, neem, and fulvic acid
- Other practitioner-grade formulas, from Systemic Formulas or other trusted sources, depending on your needs
We sometimes rotate formulas during the active phase. This isn’t because rotation has been proven to prevent resistance the way it’s understood with prescription antimicrobials, it hasn’t. We rotate for broader botanical coverage, to avoid unnecessary prolonged exposure to a single formula, and to make it easier to identify what’s helping or what might be causing a reaction.
Colon hydrotherapy, supplements, and any optional testing are handled and priced separately. Supplements are typically purchased directly through our professional Systemic Formulas affiliate link, though you’re not required to use a single brand, and we’ll recommend alternatives if the complete HoloBiome Roadmap isn’t the right fit for you.
The Roadmap: Phase by Phase – Workbook
The Holobiome Roadmap runs in five sequential months: Prepare, Purify, Promote, Protect, Preserve. Each phase has a specific clinical purpose and its own product support.
Safety, Screening, and Who Should See a Doctor First
Before starting anyone on this protocol, we review health history, medications, bowel habits, current symptoms, and possible contraindications. This isn’t a formality. Both colon hydrotherapy and herbal antiparasitic formulas carry real contraindications, and skipping this step is how people get hurt.
When to See a Doctor Before Colon Hydrotherapy
You should consult a physician or gastrointestinal specialist before colon hydrotherapy if you have Crohn’s disease, active diverticulitis, acute IBS, or active intestinal ulcers, rectal bleeding, an intestinal or rectal tumor, intestinal perforation, severe hemorrhoids, fistulas, or fissures, acute or unexplained abdominal pain, recent abdominal or intestinal surgery, an abdominal hernia, cirrhosis, kidney dysfunction, congestive heart failure, a vascular aneurysm, uncontrolled hypertension, a recent heart attack, a history of seizures or epilepsy, an active eating disorder including anorexia nervosa, or if you are pregnant, undergoing active IVF treatment, or think you may be pregnant.
Anyone with fever, persistent vomiting, severe dehydration, blood in the stool, unexplained weight loss, intense abdominal pain, or suspected intestinal obstruction is referred for medical evaluation before beginning this protocol. Our complete colon hydrotherapy contraindication list is available on our FAQ page.
When Herbal Products Aren’t Appropriate
Herbal safety is evaluated separately from colon hydrotherapy eligibility. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, prescription medications, significant liver or kidney disease, and upcoming surgery can make certain formulas inappropriate even when colon hydrotherapy itself isn’t a concern. Botanical ingredients like wormwood, black walnut, clove, and neem aren’t appropriate for everyone, particularly during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for people with certain medical conditions, allergies, or medication interactions.
If testing confirms a parasitic infection, that may require diagnostic follow-up and prescription treatment from a licensed medical provider. This protocol supports the process. It isn’t a substitute for that care.
Managing “Die-Off” Symptoms Safely
Headaches, fatigue, nausea, constipation, increased bloating, or abdominal discomfort sometimes occur during the active phase, often referred to as a “die-off” reaction. We don’t automatically treat that as proof the protocol is working. These same symptoms can also indicate dehydration, poor elimination, excessive dosing, intolerance, or an unrelated medical issue, so we investigate rather than assume.
Depending on what’s happening, we may reduce or pause active products, confirm bowel movements are regular, increase hydration and electrolyte support, reassess colon hydrotherapy timing, add a binder, provide additional liver and drainage support, or refer you for medical evaluation if symptoms are persistent, severe, or unusual. Binders like activated charcoal and bentonite clay require careful timing, since they can also bind medications and other supplements.
Dr. Kanevsky’s Clinical Perspective
After years running this protocol, my view is that parasites can affect health beyond digestion, by competing for nutrients, irritating tissue, contributing to blood loss in certain infections, and influencing immune response. But I wouldn’t call parasites the root cause of most unexplained chronic conditions, and I’m cautious of anyone who tells you they are without looking closer.
The most common practical mistake I see is people reaching for the strongest herbal cleanse they can find before their bowels are even moving regularly. That doesn’t produce better results, it produces more bloating, headaches, and fatigue in someone who was already depleted. Preparation isn’t a delay tactic. It’s the difference between a protocol that works and one that just makes you feel worse for a month.
The real lesson, in my experience, is to neither dismiss the possibility of parasites nor default to blaming them for everything. We look at exposure history, symptoms, bowel function, nutritional status, and available testing, and let that picture guide what happens next, not assumption in either direction.
NYC In-Clinic Care, and Options for Clients Outside New York
Colon hydrotherapy is an in-clinic service, so the hands-on portion of this protocol is available to clients who can visit us in Midtown Manhattan. If you’re local, you’ll combine the phased herbal protocol with in-office colon hydrotherapy sessions on the schedule outlined above.
If you’re outside NYC, you can still follow the nutritional portion of the protocol from wherever you are. The HoloBiome Roadmap itself is designed to work as a complete standalone system. Colon hydrotherapy is a complementary tool for people who want additional hands-on support.
Pricing and How the Program Is Structured
Colon hydrotherapy, supplements, and any optional testing are priced and purchased separately, there’s no single bundled protocol fee. Colon hydrotherapy is currently $190 per session, or available as a three-session package for $555, any add-ons. Current pricing is always listed on our prices page, and sessions can be booked through our online booking page.
Supplements are typically purchased separately, most often through our professional Systemic Formulas affiliate link, though we’re happy to recommend alternatives if the complete Roadmap isn’t the right fit.
What to Expect: Timeline
The full HoloBiome Roadmap runs five months: Prepare, Purify, Promote, Protect, Preserve. For this protocol specifically, colon hydrotherapy is suggested roughly every two weeks during the Prepare month and weekly during the active Purify month, then individualized after that based on your response. If testing confirms a persistent infection, the active phase may extend to around two months, which can push the overall timeline past five months. Throughout, this remains a general wellness framework that we adjust based on your health history, tolerance, medications, and how you respond along the way.
Getting Started
Book a Parasite Protocol Consultation
The best first step isn’t jumping straight into a colonic. A 10 to 15 minute consultation lets us review your symptoms, exposure history, bowel function, medications, and any contraindications, and decide together whether the complete HoloBiome Roadmap or a more focused protocol makes sense for you. [Book your consultation here.]
Complete the Parasite Questionnaire
Before your consultation, you can complete our Parasite Questionnaire to help identify symptom patterns and possible risk factors. This is a screening and discussion tool, not a diagnostic test.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does colon hydrotherapy kill parasites?
No. Colon hydrotherapy doesn’t kill parasites or any other organism. It supports elimination, helping move cleared waste through the colon during a cleanse, while herbal and nutritional products do the work of targeting the gut environment.
Can I do this protocol without colon hydrotherapy?
Yes. The herbal and nutritional portion of this protocol, including the full HoloBiome Roadmap, is designed to work as a standalone system. Colon hydrotherapy is a complementary option for people who want additional in-clinic support.
How do I know if I actually have parasites?
Symptoms alone don’t confirm a parasitic infection. Our questionnaire helps identify patterns and exposure risk, but appropriate stool testing and medical evaluation may be needed to confirm or rule out an infection. If testing confirms one, prescription treatment from a licensed provider may be necessary.
What is a “die-off” reaction, and is it a sign the protocol is working?
Some people experience headaches, fatigue, nausea, or increased bloating during the active phase, often called a die-off reaction. We don’t assume this automatically means the protocol is working, since the same symptoms can also signal dehydration, poor elimination, or excessive dosing. We monitor closely and adjust the protocol if needed.
How much does the parasite cleanse protocol cost?
Colon hydrotherapy is $190 per session or $555 for a three-session package, priced separately from supplements and any optional testing. Current pricing is listed on our prices page.
Is this protocol safe for everyone?
No. Certain health conditions, including active GI disease, pregnancy, recent abdominal surgery, and several others, are contraindications for colon hydrotherapy, herbal formulas, or both. We screen for these during your consultation before starting anyone on this protocol. For the complete list of contraindications, visit our FAQ Page.
